February 17, 2020 “The Painted Cross”
For several weeks, I drove by this painting. I would notice it especially when after it rained. The painter had used a glitter paint so that when the sun shone on it, you could see it glisten. Then, one day, I had to stop and snap a quick photo. I couldn’t go by it again without capturing it.
An old time hymn came to mind as I kept passing that rock by without photographing it. “Pass Me Not, O Gentle Savior” was written by one of my favorite hymn writers, Fanny Crosby.
“Savior, Savior
Hear my humble cry
While on others Thou art calling
Do not pass me by.”
Don’t let the Holy Spirit pass you by.
